The company L. Hainz was founded by Ludvík Hainz, a trained watchmaker, in 1836. The company flourished during the era of his son, who was a councilor and participated in the repair of the Old Town Astronomical Clock in 1860-1866. Since then, our company has been regularly servicing the astronomical clock.

At that time, the company produced timekeeping devices, pressure gauges and interior clocks, night clocks, clocks and tower clocks. Another important product was pocket and wristwatches. This is how it all went until 1949 when the company was nationalized. After this time, production slowed down and important production programs were transferred to the companies Chronotechna, Elektročas and Pragotron.

After 1993, the company returned to our hands, the L. Hainz brand began to exist again, unfortunately only the production of tower clocks remained, which is still running, we are based on the production of mechanical clocks of classic design. Since 2024, we have also been producing wristwatches.
